We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner (PRN) for our Jeanerette Rural Health Clinic .
The Nurse Practitioner applies the nursing process,effectively interacting with patients and other health team members, whilemaintaining standards of Advanced Nurse Practice.
The Nurse Practitioner oversees the employees, budgetary and general operational activities of the clinic.
Under indirect supervision, providesindependent primary care in a variety of clinical settings to a specificpopulation of non-emergency patients.
Provides consultation and advice to others as a family nursepractitioner.
This position is located in the Jeanerette Rural Health Clinic (JRHC), located at 217 Bourg Street.
The JRHC has been providing quality healthcare to the families and businesses of Jeanerette for years.
EDUCATION:
Master's level graduate of state approved NP/PA school.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Current Louisiana NP/PA license required.
CPR certification must be obtained prior to completion of orientation.
TRAINING AND
Experience:
Previous experience preferred, but not required WORK HOURS:
Relief position or as required to provide departmental services as needed.
PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs medical examinations andevaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultation, and healtheducation Obtains patient histories and developspatient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Provides health education to students,families, and/or community health practitioners and groups, within area ofspecialty Supervises and/or coordinates theactivities of patient care and/or support staff May participate in planning programs andin developing specific health policies and procedures Practices safety, environmental, and/orinfection control methods Performs miscellaneous job duties asassigned Makes decisions continually on a varietyof complex problems while rendering patient care and managing clinic business.
Analyzes new knowledgegained from conferences, workshops, professional literature, or hands-ontraining and assimilates this knowledge into clinical practice.
